The Lovers' Bridge
Vymura wallpaper, burnt matches, framed photograph, 1990
Notes:
The Lovers' Bridge was the central work in my degree show at Goldsmiths College. The photograph comes from the book Party Lines (1963) by Robert Harbin, who was renowned for his origami making and magic tricks. The matchstick bridge is made without glue, and requires two pairs of hands to construct, hence the title.
